KILCOY SHS – AGRICULTURE
2020 has been a complicated year for all schools and in an attempt to provide alternative activities that would engage and enrich our students learning the school decided to participate in ‘The Archibull Prize’ and ‘Kreative Koalas’ programs. Both programs align well with our school’s focus on Deeper Learning and students learning through an inquiry based model.
The Archibull
The Archibull Prize is a program where students research an agricultural topic and propose solutions. The students work is then expressed as an art work, a life-size statue of a cow as the canvas.
Kreative Koalas
This is a program where students look into an issue of sustainability with a focus on the UN sustainability goals and local issues. The students work is then expressed as an art work, an oversized koala statue used as the canvas.
