At Kilcoy State High School, our purpose is to provide the best possible educational outcomes for every student in our school. We currently have over 440 students enrolled at our school.
We provide a safe and supportive school environment, high quality facilities and a wide range of co-curricular activities. We aim to support our students to become critical and independent thinkers who are reflective, intellectually curious and passionate about learning.
Our teaching staff is a blend of both experienced and beginning teachers, all of whom are specialists in their particular teaching areas. Thorough planning and negotiation by our school administrators has resulted in the clear alignment between the subjects offered and the areas of expertise of the teaching staff.
We have a great team of Support staff, who work both in the administration of the school and in the classrooms, providing direct support to those students with identified learning needs.
Subject choice may differ from year to year depending on student need and staff speciality. For students wishing to study a subject not offered by the school, alternative arrangements can be made where possible through the Brisbane School of Distance Education.
We are committed to developing a learning culture which ensures students are prepared for and engaged in learning through the use of productive pedagogy, performing to capacity, aspiring to a productive future and taking responsibility for their own outcomes.
